THE ROMAN THEATER OF CARTHAGE

This reconstructive model of the Ancient Theatre of Carthage was made on the basis of studies and hypothetical reconstructions in the literature, and in particular Ros (1996) and Zammel (2014). Among the first archaeological excavations in the ancient theater of Carthage fit those made in 1904-1905 by Paul Gaucklr, which began in 1906 the works of restoration of the theater, and those initiated by Gilbert Charles Picard in July of 1967. Thanks marbles and materials found, scholars speculate that the Theatre of Carthage was built around the middle of the Second Century AD.
